Dear Friends, Concerned Neighbours and Supporters of the Frant Road Safety initiative.

We're overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for the Frant Road safety petition! A heartfelt thank you for your signatures, comments, and generous donations.

The response on NextDoor has also been eye-opening, with many sharing their frightening experiences with speeding cars and close calls on Frant Road and the Surround Roads like Birling Rd and Bayham Rd, involving pedestrians, especially at night.

This morning, we heard back from Councillor Becki Bruneau. She relayed that, according to the police, speeding isn't an issue on Frant Road, citing only one accident in December. However, this contradicts what we've witnessed - two serious accidents right outside our home in December alone (on the 13th and 21st). Both incidents resulted in perpetrator and / or victim vehicles being towed away

Furthermore, we've discovered two previous petitions about speeding concerns on Frant Road that unfortunately didn't succeed. Many have shared that they reached out to the Tunbridge Wells Council with their concerns on this issue via phone or letter without even the courtesy of a reply.

This community response has driven us to form the "Frant Road Safety Coalition" to amplify our voices and demand attention from our councilwoman, Becki Bruneau, Tunbridge Wells Council, and the Borough of Kent.

Your continued sharing of this petition is absolutely crucial for us to be taken seriously.

We need your ideas! Email the Frant Road Safety Coalition at FrantRoadSafety@gmail.com with your suggestions for traffic calming measures and where they are most needed on Frant and surrounding roads. Also, please share your thoughts in the comments section here for our coalition and Councillor Becki Bruneau to see.

Together, we can make a change. Keep the momentum going!
