ვთხოვთ აშშ-ის სენატს, დაუყოვნებლივ დაამტკიცოს MEGOBARI აქტი საქართველოს დემოკრატიული მომავლისთვის

დღეს ისე როგორც არასდროს, საქართველოს სჭირდება გვერდში დგომა როგორც ქართველების მხრიდან ასევე მათი სტრატეგიული პარტნიორებისა და მეგობრების მხრიდან. 

ხელმომწერთა მიზანია მივაწვდინოთ ხმა სენატის უმრავლესობის ლიდერს - სენატორ ჯონ თუნს, სენატის უმცირესობის ლიდერს - სენატორ ჩაკ შუმერს და სენატის საგარეო ურთიერთობათა კომიტეტს. 

MEGOBARI აქტი სასიცოცხლოდ მნიშვნელოვანია!

MEGOBARI აქტი არ არის მტრული ჩარევა, არამედ ის არის მტკიცე მეგობრობის აქტი!

ეს აქტი აუცილებელია, რადგან ის:

• აძლიერებს ანგარიშვალდებულებას: აწესებს სავიზო შეზღუდვებსა და მიზანმიმართულ სანქციებს იმ პირებისთვის, რომლებიც პასუხისმგებელნი არიან კორუფციასა და დემოკრატიული პროგრესის შენელებაზე საქართველოში.
• ადასტურებს ამერიკის მხარდაჭერას: გზავნის ცალსახა გზავნილს, რომ შეერთებული შტატები მხარს უჭერს ქართველ ხალხს, მათ კონსტიტუციურ არჩევანს და ევროატლანტიკურ მისწრაფებებს.
• აფრთხილებს ანტიდემოკრატიულ ძალებს: უზრუნველყოფს მნიშვნელოვან შემაკავებელ მექანიზმს მათთვის, ვინც ცდილობს საქართველოს დასავლური კურსიდან გადახვევას პირადი ან გეოპოლიტიკური მიზნებისთვის.

პეტიციაზე ხელის მოწერით მოვუწოდებთ სენატის ხელმძღვანელობას დაუყოვნებლივ გამოიტანოს MEGOBARI აქტი სენატის  საერთო კენჭისყრაზე, რითაც მოხსნის ნებისმიერ პროცედურულ შეფერხებას, რომელიც ხელს უშლის მის მიღებას.

ჩვენ ვენდობით აშშ-ის სენატს, შეასრულოს თავისი ვალდებულება დემოკრატიული მოკავშირეების მიმართ. დაუდექით გვერდით ქართველ ხალხს და დაამტკიცეთ MEGOBARI აქტი ახლავე.

ჩვენ, ხელმომწერი საქართველოს დემოკრატიის მხარდამჭერი მოქალაქეები, მთელ მსოფლიოდან გთხოვთ, დაუყოვნებლივ მიიღოთ  ზომები „ანგარიშვალდებულების, მდგრადობისა და დამოუკიდებლობის მშენებლობისთვის საქართველოს შესაძლებლობების მობილიზაციისა და გაძლიერების აქტის“ (MEGOBARI Act) წინ წაწევისთვის და დასამტკიცებლად.

ეს კრიტიკული, ორპარტიული კანონპროექტი უკვე დამტკიცდა წარმომადგენელთა პალატაში დიდი მხარდაჭერით. მისი გაჭიანურება სენატში კი, ჩვენი ქვეყნისთვის გადამწყვეტ მომენტში, დეფაქტო ხელისუფლებისთვის ორჭოფობის სიგნალს აგზავნის, რაც ხელს უწყობს მშვიდობიანი დემონსტრაციისა და  ადამიანის აზრთა თავისუფლად გამოხატვის დაზიანებას.

ძვირფასო თანამემამულენო მოაწერეთ ხელი ამ პეტიციას და გააზიარეთ ის ყველგან, რათა მივაწვდინოთ ხმა აშშ-ის სენატს, რომ დაუყოვნებლივ დაამტკიცოს ეს სასიცოცხლოდ მნიშვნელოვანი კანონპროექტი!

URGENT APPEAL TO THE UNITED STATES SENATE

Immediate Call to Pass the MEGOBARI Act for Georgia’s Democratic Future

URGENT CALL: We, the undersigned, urge the United States Senate to immediately pass the MEGOBARI Act(Mobilizing and Enhancing Georgia’s Options for Building Accountability, Resilience, and Independence) — a critical, bipartisan bill supporting Georgia’s democracy, freedom, and stability.

Today, more than ever, the people of Georgia need strong support—both from within and from our strategic partners and friends around the world.

We respectfully call upon:

•  Senate Majority Leader John Thune
•  Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer
• The Senate Foreign Relations Committee

to take prompt action and bring this vital bipartisan legislation to the Senate floor for a vote without further delay.

The MEGOBARI Act is Critically Important!

The MEGOBARI Act (the word “Megobari” means “Friend” in Georgian) is not an act of interference — it is an act of friendship, accountability, and democratic solidarity.

This legislation is essential because it:

• Strengthens Accountability: Imposes targeted sanctions and visa restrictions on individuals responsible for corruption and democratic backsliding in Georgia.
• Affirms U.S. support: Sends a clear message that the United States stands firmly with the people of Georgia, their constitutional rights, and their Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
• Deters anti-democratic forces: Creates an important deterrent against those seeking to derail Georgia’s Western trajectory for personal or geopolitical gain.
