To Whom It May Concern, 

We, the undersigned, express grave concern regarding the arrest of Dutch attorney Arno van Kessel on 11 June 2025 and the subsequent legal handling of his joint case with colleague Mr. Peter Stassen. The case belongs to the alleged misrepresentation of vaccine safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

We respectfully request the following: 

1. Independent Inquiry into the legality and motivation behind Mr. van Kessel's arrest. 

2. Guarantees of due process, including the right of Mr. Stassen to call expert witnesses vital to his case (eg, Dr. Michael Yeadon, Prof. Theo Schetters). 

3. Transparency in proceedings, including fair press access and protection of freedom of expression in court. 

4. Immediate review by judicial oversight or human rights bodies to determine whether legal practice freedoms have been compromised. 

This is not merely a domestic legal dispute; it is a matter of international human rights, freedom of expression, and the role of legal professionals in holding institutions accountable. 

We ask that your institution intervene or monitor proceedings to ensure justice is served impartially and without intimidation.
