Across the globe, citizens have approached courts to move data centres out of their regions due to severe environmental degradation, excessive water depletion, pollution, and the resulting public health crises. Why then is there such an intense push to bring these data centres to Visakhapatnam?
Data centres generate minimal employment for local youth. Vizag is already facing a severe water crisis, with citizens forced to rely on daily water tankers just to survive. Bringing resource-heavy data infrastructure here will only worsen this strain and ruin the local environment.

I am a core supporter of CM Chandrababu Naidu garu and deeply respect how he transformed Hyderabad into a major IT hub in the past. However, I cannot support this policy due to the heavy environmental costs of data centres.

Please stop these data centre projects in Vizag and across India. Instead, focus on attracting actual software development companies that create thousands of white-collar jobs without destroying our natural resources. Do not invite industries that have been rejected elsewhere. We have immense respect for you—please do not allow our resources to be exploited.
