EMERGENCY UPDATE: 10 KILLED NEAR MARYAM TODAY

Some terrifying upsetting news just came in that shelling has been reported in the area where Maryam's tent is located. Ten people have already been killed.
She is alive. Her family is alive. But their tent stands in the middle of what is now a scene of devastation, the surrounding area destroyed, exit routes gone, every direction blocked. Her current location is her 15th displacement in 3 years. Imagine moving homes 15 times in that space whilst also navigating threats, shelling and imminent risk of death. They are terrified, and waiting. In Gaza, the gap between alive and safe has never been wider. Weighing where to go, though in Gaza today, there is nowhere that can truly be called safe.
At the same time, Maryam's skin condition continues to deteriorate. We have some new photos of the progression from earlier before the attack, below. The rash that has plagued her for weeks shows no sign of improvement. Doctors have been unable to provide a clear diagnosis or confirm what treatment she needs. Without access to medication, she continues to suffer, a child caught between active shelling and a healthcare system that has been all but destroyed.
