Mr. Krishnan and I met Mr D.S. Ramesh, Commissioner, Bangalore East City Corporation, and Mr Maheshwar Rao, Chief Commissioner, on 3rd March 2026 at the Mahadevpura office.

During the meeting, I brought to their attention the railway gate issue again, as well as the condition of the footpaths and the road near the railway gate. Earlier, the Chief Engineer of the RoB project, Mr. Prem Narayan (South Western Railway, CAO Office), had requested that I update both Commissioners (Bangalore East & Central), as their support would be required in finalizing the design of the RoB.

We requested Mr. Rao and Mr. Ramesh to examine the matter and prioritise it.

It appears that the GBA engineers have now commenced desilting work on the Mahadevpura side, and they will also be repairing the footpath drains along the railway gate road.
