ZEE5 advertised the FIFA World Cup subscription plan, highlighting its unique feature of streaming on up to three screens or devices simultaneously. Many of us subscribed to this plan, believing in the promise of enjoying the world’s most prestigious football tournament across multiple devices, in the comfort of our homes, with family and friends. Yet, this assurance was abruptly withdrawn, restricting usage to a single device, without prior warning or sufficient explanation.

This unexpected change is not only unfair but also signals a disregard for consumer rights and trust, which are foundational to any reputable service provider. As football slowly garners its well-deserved following in India, we cannot afford corporate practices that disrespect and dampen the enthusiasm of the football-loving community.

We call upon ZEE5 to honour the benefits that were initially advertised, primarily the feature allowing simultaneous streaming on three devices. Immediate rectification will not only restore customer faith but also demonstrate ZEE5's commitment to transparency and accountability.

Moreover, we propose that ZEE5 should communicate transparently with its subscribers and provide adequate compensation for the disruption and inconvenience caused. This petition aims to ensure that consumer expectations are met, and that football, a sport already battling for its prominence in India, is supported through fair and just business practices.
