The Issue

You may never guess the struggle I face every day. My name is Nicole and I am a disabled individual, still learning to walk again after a string of surgeries. My fight to regain a semblance of normal life is made even harder when those in positions of influence choose mockery over empathy. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at the La Quinta motel by Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida, chose the former. Instead of offering assistance or, at the least, basic respect, she mocked me, displaying an inexcusable level of callousness and insensitivity.

However, it's not just about me. According to the CDC, 61 million adults in the United States live with a disability. When a representative of a reputable company like Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, parent company to La Quinta, discriminates against a disabled individual, it sends a worrying message about their views on inclusivity and respect.

We cannot allow such mistreatment to go unchecked. We ask you to join us in calling on Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to take firm action against the AGM of the La Quinta location by Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida. We must remind them and all corporations that in a country that values equality and civility, such treatment of the disabled must not be tolerated.

Help us send a powerful message: Respect for every individual, regardless of their physical abilities, is not optional - it's compulsory. Please sign the petition.
