Hello everyone,

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for signing my petition. We have surpassed 380,000 signatures and continue to grow! It’s crucial that we keep spreading the word and sharing it with our family and friends.

The Save the Kurds Act has been introduced, but we still have six important steps left to ensure its passage through the legislature. I want to take a moment to appreciate Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal for being such passionate advocates for the Kurds, ensuring they are not forgotten.

It is inspiring to witness bipartisan support on this vital issue, as both Senators recognize the urgent need to protect the Kurds in the Middle East. Remember, Al Shara and his government cannot be trusted—it's impossible to change the mindset of a former Al-Qaeda leader who now runs a country.

We cannot forget the sacrifices the Kurds have made; they have consistently supported Western ideals of freedom and democracy and have been on the front lines in the fight against terrorism.

Please continue to contact your state senators and congressmen, urging them to support the passage of the Save the Kurds Act. Just because the situation appears calm today does not mean it won’t escalate tomorrow. As citizens of the United States, we have the power to make a difference and ensure our friends and allies are protected at all costs.

Here are the 6 Remaining Legislative Steps we must follow to pass this crucial act:
1. Committee Review (Hearings/Markup): The Senate committee will study, hold hearings on, amend (markup), and vote on the bill.
2. Senate Floor Debate and Vote: If approved by the committee, the bill is presented on the Senate floor for debate, amendment, and a vote.
3. House of Representatives Action: If passed by the Senate, the bill moves to the House, where it undergoes a similar committee process, followed by a floor vote.
4. Reconciliation: If the House and Senate pass different versions, a conference committee will resolve the differences to create a unified version.
5. Final Passage: Both the House and Senate must vote on the same final version.
6. Presidential Action: The President signs the bill into law or vetoes it. Congress can override a veto with a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate.

Thank you again for your support! Let’s make sure the Save the Kurds Act successfully passes through all remaining steps.
