URGE UK GOVERNMENT TO JOIN CASE AGAINST ISRAEL

The Issue

What makes one human more superior over another? Is it race, religion or the colour of skin? This is what I have been asking myself since the escalation of conflict in Palestine since October 7th.

Since October 7th Israel has:

• Repeatedly shelled hospitals and civillians.

• Cut off water, power, fuel and medical supplies to Gaza

• More than 36,731 killed and 83,530 wounded in 8 months of war.

• Attacked UN-run schools in central Gaza, killing at least 40

• violated international law by disregarding human rights and committing war crimes

This list is not even a fraction of the terror plaguing the plastinian people. Yet how much support have the UK given to ease this conflict? They didn't spare a second when it came to condemning Russia, but when it came to Palestine Rishi Sunak said, "We stand with Israel." Not even a word was said to comfort the displaced Palestinian and instead military aid was sent to support the aggeression. So again I ask you dear reader, what makes one human more superior over another?

In 2022 alone, £42 million in military aid was sent to support Israel and the figure for 2023 will be released in the coming days. Our tax is being used to fund a genocide. Did we vote for this?

09/06/24 - Four Israeli hostages were freed at the cost of the lives of around 200 Palestinians. Were 4 lives more significant than 200? The IDF had been training for months for this mission, were they not taught about the sanctity of life?

Hold Israel accountable and urge our government to join South Africa's genocide case against Israel.

I read once, "power can be as hot as a flame", by signing this petition use your power to urge our leaders not only to take notice but also take action - because every signature brings us one step closer towards justice for those who have suffered too much already. We are urging the UK government to join Spain in South Africa's case against Israel to protect Gazan lives as they did for Ukrainian lives. Please sign this petition today.
