I, like so many others in our global gaming community, have cherished the memories made while playing the cooperative mode in Assassin's Creed Unity. The laughter, the strategy, and the bonds formed playing alongside our friends were unparalleled and deeply missed. Ubisoft's decision to discontinue this cooperative mode feels like a misstep, as it has left players unable to connect in the same way that once made the game so unique.

A critical component of Assassin's Creed Unity's success was its cooperative mode. According to the Entertainment Software Association, 65% of Americans play video games and a considerable proportion of them prefer playing with friends (ESA, 2020). Therefore, the discontinuation of Unity's coop mode not only reduces the value of a beloved game to many, but also significantly limits the social interaction, which is a fundamental aspect of why it gathered such a large and dedicated fan base.

The reintroduction of this cooperative mode in Assassin's Creed Unity provides an opportunity to strengthen connections within our gaming community during a time when forming bonds and maintaining relationships is more important than ever. We believe this action can be beneficial for both Ubisoft and its loyal gaming community.
