I love TikTok Shop and am passionate about showcasing products in real-time, engaging with viewers, and driving sales. Just recently, I generated nearly $1,000 in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) by demonstrating a brand new product while interacting with my audience, answering questions, and converting views into sales. However, my efforts are often obstructed by repeated "Non-Engaging Content" violations from TikTok's automated system. These unjust violations threaten not only my livelihood but also the economic stability of countless creators who rely on this platform.

TikTok Shop has become a vital ecosystem for entrepreneurs, LIVE hosts, and sellers aiming to build their businesses and earn an income. Despite its potential, the current automated violation system is flawed, often inaccurately penalizing creators for supposed algorithmic violations. These automated actions are taken without context or consideration of the content's actual value and impact, leading to undeserved penalization and revenue loss for committed creators.

The appeal process is equally frustrating, as it often lacks human oversight and understanding. Current appeals are managed by automated responses, which are unable to consider the nuances of our content and interactions. This automated process not only dismisses legitimate content but also erodes our trust in a system meant to support and empower us. We need a fair and transparent appeals process, manned by real individuals who can evaluate the content holistically.

By evaluating appeals through real human oversight, TikTok Shop can ensure that creators like myself continue to elevate the platform's success while fostering an environment that celebrates creativity and commerce. Additionally, by refining their automated systems to better understand diverse content types, we can all benefit from a fairer, more equitable platform.

Putting an end to taking commissions from creators when their live stream or video has a violation. No more financial devastation. This policy should be changed and laws created to protect brands / creators.
