Like many of you, I am a resident of this great country, witnessing the behavior of Elon Musk and the effects on our society. The situation is deeply personal, and hits close to home. Elon Musk, originally South African, is causing significant disruption, while enjoying the rights and privileges of an American citizen. It's time that this should be reconsidered.

Musk's actions and decisions have had debatable impacts on economy and environment. For instance, his vocal support for cryptocurrencies does not only increase their volatility but also has potential long-term environmental consequences due to the massive energy consumption of cryptocurrencies' mining processes [Source: Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance]. And then there is the destruction in havoc that he has wreaked in federal government offices that take care of American citizens. He is destroying our country.

 Notwithstanding the benefits brought by SpaceX or Tesla, we must question whether the costs outweigh these benefits.

In Canada, citizens open similar cases and reconsider the naturalization of individuals found to have considerable negative impact on the country [Source: Citizenship Act of Canada]. Furthermore, they have already started a petition in Canada to remove Elon musk's citizenship.  Why can't we, in the United States, take similar action to protect our country's interests?

With this petition, we implore the U.S. government to thoroughly reassess Elon Musk's citizenship status and consider deportation if deemed necessary. This is not an easy call to make, but for a better America, we should not shy away from tough decisions. Join us in this fight, your signature can make a change.
