I start this petition not only for myself but for my partner and countless others who are burdened with student loan debt. After the Supreme Court blocked the Biden administration's student loan forgiveness plans, my fiancé was devastated. With the rise in education costs, student loan debt in the U.S has surged to $1.7 trillion as of 2020, according to the Federal Reserve. This crippling financial burden has left millions struggling to make ends meet.

We urge the Supreme Court to reconsider its decision and reinstate these vital loan forgiveness plans. A large segment of our population should not be financially crippled for seeking higher education. We also ask that all lawsuits against these forgiveness plans be dismissed—not only in the Supreme Court but also in the appeals courts.
