**Close Captivity, Open Sanctuaries** - Call for a Ban on Animal Farms, Aquariums, Sea Life Centres, and Safari Parks — and the Transformation of All into Sanctuaries of Freedom*:
Captivity is not care. I reject the confinement of animals in farms, aquariums, Sea Life centres, safari parks, and so-called “rescue” facilities. These institutions — whether industrial or boutique — violate bodily autonomy, fracture ecosystems, and normalize domination.
As a strict vegan, I do not accept any form of captivity. Not for profit. Not for education. Not for entertainment. Not under the guise of conservation.
- Aquariums and Sea Life centres imprison marine beings in tanks thousands of times smaller than their natural range. Sharks stop moving. Dolphins sink into depression.
- Safari parks, often marketed as ethical alternatives, remain entangled with the hunting industry — through breeding programs, funding streams, and historical ties.
- Captivity causes psychological collapse: pacing, self-harm, withdrawal. These are trauma responses, not quirks.
I call for a full ban on:
- 🛑 Animal farms of all kinds
- 🛑 Aquariums and Sea Life centres
- 🛑 Safari parks and pseudo-sanctuaries with hunting links
- 🛑 Captivity centres disguised as care or conservation
And I demand:
- 🌱 The transformation of all such sites into true sanctuaries — spaces of healing, autonomy, and ecological repair
- 📚 The replacement of exploitative education with justice-rooted learning about ecosystems, interdependence, and liberation
- 🤝 Support for workers and communities in transitioning away from captivity-based economies
This is not reform. It is refusal. A ritual act of repair. A personal and collective turning toward freedom.
Sanctuaries are not exhibits. They are living symbols of kinship, dignity, and mythic restoration. I call for an end to captivity — everywhere, in every form.
**I close captivity. I open sanctuaries. I begin again.**
