The council have confirmed they will now progress with stage 2 of the complaint, as the suggestion that we all drive slower and adjust our suspension to give more clearance is a crazy notion I personally can't do and know many others cannot do either!
"Excuse me, Mr. Horse, can you jump as we go over this speed hump so I don't ground the horse box" said no horse owner ever!
The freedom of information revealing the people they consulted includes the people I spoke at length with on the phone, who said they were horrified that they are being name-dropped by the council, who have "done no such thing!" by giving the go-ahead for such a monstrosity.
Meanwhile, my displeasure at the ignorant attitude of Liz Lefferman grows as I consider her argument that the 'height' is necessary but fails to recall that this is a 3D obstacle and there are two other dimensions she has not considered in her argument!
Email sent to the two disabled user groups the council said would object IF there were an issue, and hopefully we shall have a few more allies calling on the council to consider their policy on this matter! Sadly, the response Sean Woodcock got from the council was worthy of the waste paper bin as it resembled the AI response, lacking depth, understanding or that pesky thing called facts.
Thank you again to all those who are signing the petition, we will have common sense prevail.
