Urge the Canadian government to save Marine Land's Belugas

The Issue

In recent months, I've watched in horror as 19 Belugas and 1 orca have died at Marine Land Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario. These animals, so magnificent and intelligent, have been suffering due to the park's crumbling infrastructure and significant water issues. It's heartbreaking to think that the remaining 30 Beluga whales in captivity there—the last in Canada—face euthanasia if action isn't taken swiftly.

Marine Land's management has tragically decided that euthanizing these whales is their only solution, but this cannot stand. These creatures deserve a chance to live freely in their natural habitat, not to languish and die behind bars due to neglect and mismanagement. The conditions at the park have become life-threatening, and it's no longer safe for these Belugas to remain there.

More than ever, we need intervention from the highest levels of government. Prime Minister Mark J Carney has remained silent on this issue, but his voice is desperately needed now. Canadians and compassionate citizens around the world, we cannot allow these whales to die silently. Their well-being should be a priority, and government intervention is essential to facilitate their immediate release to a sanctuary where they can thrive.

Time is running out. Each moment of inaction is a moment closer to losing these beautiful creatures forever. We urge Prime Minister Carney and the Canadian government to take immediate action to save the Beluga whales. Their lives depend on it, and we must stand up to protect them.

Sign this petition to convince Prime Minister Carney to intervene and save the Belugas at Marine Land Park before it’s too late. Please be a voice for the voiceless!
