The heartbreak I felt was indescribable when I learned that Sharla and Kara Cope, two exceptional volunteers, were no longer part of our rescue organization. Over the years, these two incredible individuals have shown their profound dedication to our cause and have made invaluable contributions, so much so that it feels personal to me. Back in 2024, they managed to foster and find forever homes for 62 cats, a number that speaks volumes about their relentless dedication.

Their commitment doesn't stop there. Ranging from administering vaccines and medications to the necessary deworming procedures, from maintaining clean and safe habitats to the final stage of adoption, they've been there through it all. They’ve even single-handedly run adoption events, a feat some of us can only wish to achieve.

A deep sense of unrest has been stirred among several fosters who have felt the heavy impact of this decision. We all understand that there were reasons behind this, but we kindly urge the Board to reconsider. There's no denying the invaluable role Sharla and Kara play in our organization. Their exclusion is not only a loss to us but also to the numerous cats who are dependent on us.
