Visits to the  Stedelijk Museum are often memorable. Most often the experience is heightened  due to one masterpiece in particular: "The Beanery" by Edward Kienholz. This compelling artwork isn't just a visual spectacle—it engages all senses, enveloping the viewer in a thought-provoking atmosphere that to me somehow combines the raw pulsation of life with a sense of deep melancholy......

"The Beanery," was created in 1965, stands as an iconic installation...It replicates a bar and immerses visitors into the scene with precision and originality that captivates everyone who encounters it. 
 
It's been too long since the last exhibit, and the absence of "The Beanery" is felt deeply by many.  By gathering signatures, we aim to demonstrate the collective longing and support for this masterpiece's return.
