The Issue

For many years now Dave Hughes has advertised and promoted himself as a comedian.

There is wide agreement that he is not funny. Substantial concerns  have been raised as to whether he was ever funny.

The word comedian is commonly used to denote an amusing or funny person. Dave Hughes is neither amusing or funny.

We believe this a serious breach of Australian Competition and Consumer Commission law referring to accuracy and truth in advertising.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is tasked with ensuring that advertising remains truthful and transparent. It's imperative that they investigate and, if necessary, charge Dave Hughes with engaging in misleading advertising.

Consumers deserve to have confidence in the products they purchase, and they rely on the ACCC to enforce truth in advertising. By signing this petition, you join a call to action urging the ACCC to fully investigate the advertising claims made by Dave Hughes, ensuring that they align with Australia's consumer protection laws. Let us work towards maintaining the integrity of our market and upholding the standards that protect consumers from deceptive practices.

Please sign this petition to demand a thorough investigation by the ACCC.
