Pierremont Park Service Depot Update and Public meeting agenda 20 January

Hello
Happy January to you and yours.
This is a reminder that we, Friends of Pierremont Park, are holding a public meeting tonight, 20 January, 7-8:30pm, at Pierremont Hall to discuss the situation with the old service depot which TDC are still adamant they want to sell on the open market, believing that they can make a significant sum from such a sale.
Please come along if you're free (or email us friendsofpierremontpark@gmail.com if you're not around tonight but would like to get more involved in our campaign to have this area of the park (as it is identified as such on the land registry) brought back in to use to benefit the community and protect and enhance the park environment.)
Agenda for this evening:
Pierremont Park Social Value Plan
Legal position on the old service depot proposed sale
Petition update and discussion on submission timing and logistics
Update on other actions since last meeting and what else we can do to influence the council
Discussion on next steps towards FoPP becoming constituted.
Thank you for your support thus far in signing the petition. Please keep sharing it far and wide and if you haven't already please write to Rick Everitt, leader of the council, and other councillors you may have a connection to, or anyone else youi can think of who may have some influence, to make your feelings known.
please share far and wide and come along if you care about what happens to the old service depot and our park as a whole.
Photo shows entrance through the protected parkland to the depot site which is currently disused. Thanet District Council claim this site could be developed without disturbing this tranquil pathway. Does that seem a credible position to you? We think not.
