The Issue

Charlton 'Baby Cash' Houston #04615524 has been under confinement for approximately 33 years, having been sentenced to a 50-year term at the age of 16. The sentence was imposed by the state of Texas in Dallas. Although he was judged and sentenced as an adult while he was just a teenager, since then, Mr. Houston has demonstrated remarkable personal growth and transformation.

During his years of confinement, Charlton has not only pursued higher education, earning multiple degrees, but he has also become an accomplished author. He has written and published three books, two of which focus on steering young people away from gang involvement. His third book serves as a practical parenting guide to help families with troubled adolescents. His literary contributions reflect his dedication to sharing his experiences and discouraging others from making similar life choices.

Mr. Houston's journey underscores a significant change in character and rehabilitation, contrary to the outdated belief that he remains a threat to society. He has actively contributed back to the community and seeks to serve a larger purpose of reducing youth crime and improving societal well-being.

We believe that Charlton Houston deserves to be released TO the conditions of parole or community supervision by the state of Texas, acknowledging his transformed life and commitment to positive community impact and the State will have more than  a decade to manage and monitor his progress or not on the outside at less cost to taxpayers than keeping him captive in prison. Releasing Charlton not only acknowledges his progress but also serves as a beacon of hope and a message of redemption to others who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Join us in petitioning the state of Texas to recognize the reform and positive contributions Charlton Houston has made. Please sign this petition to advocate for his release from parole conditions and help him continue his mission outside confinement. Your support can pave the way for Charleston to impact society positively untethered by past conditions.
