The Issue

These seniors deserve to graduate together. Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime event that marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. It's a day meant for students, along with their families and friends, to come together in celebration of their achievements. However, Springstead High School is dividing it into two separate graduations at different times in their school gymnasium rather than securing a better venue.

Currently, the administration plans to hold the graduation ceremony within the school gym. While familiar, this venue unfortunately lacks the capacity to accommodate the entire graduating class along with their loved ones. As a result, the celebration is split into two separate events, depriving students of the opportunity to commemorate their success together as a unified class.

There are viable alternatives within Spring Hill and surrounding areas that could host a single, inclusive graduation ceremony. Outdoor venues, larger auditoriums, or event halls could provide the space necessary to ensure every student, family member, and friend can attend without restrictions.

Other schools in the region have successfully relocated their ceremonies to larger venues, setting a precedent that Springstead High can follow. A unified celebration not only enhances the experience for students but also strengthens community bonds and school spirit, providing an unforgettable moment for all involved.

Join us in urging Springstead high School's administration to re-evaluate their decision and choose a location that honors the hard work and dedication of every senior. Let’s make their graduation day a momentous occasion they can cherish forever.

Please sign this petition to advocate for a change that allows all seniors to graduate together in one unified ceremony.
