In terms of an update, some councillors have put forward a motion to adapt the road layout to allow for a widening of the pavement without need to remove our beautiful tree. We keep everything crossed that this will be fully supported by Southend council. 

Furthermore, a Tree Preservation Order has been applied for and Highways assure us that nothing will be actioned for that area until this process has gone through so, hopefully, for the time being,  Chester remains safe.
