The Issue
For many of us, our childhoods were shaped by the educational and entertaining programming of Qubo. This platform was more than just a channel; it was a source of joy, learning, and community for children in Cincinnati, OH, USA and beyond. We believe that future generations should have the opportunity to grow up with Qubo as we did.
Qubo was known for its commitment to quality children's programming. It provided shows that were not only enjoyable but also educational. According to Nielsen ratings data from 2010-2011, Qubo reached an average of 20 million households per month in the United States (source: Nielsen). This demonstrates how integral it was in the lives of many American families.
However, despite its popularity and positive influence on young minds, Scripps decided to discontinue Qubo in 2021. We understand that business decisions are complex and multifaceted; however, we believe that bringing back Qubo would be beneficial not only for Scripps but also for millions of families across America.
We urge Scripps to consider reviving this cherished platform so that future generations can experience the joy and learning we once did from watching Qubo programs. Let's give our children the chance they deserve to grow up with quality television content like we did.
