I along with countless other Steam Deck owners, have recently experienced a major setback. The online part of GTA V, which used to be compatible with our devices via Linux/Steam Deck, has received major compatibility issues due to the implementation of the Anti-Cheat software, BattlEye. This change has left thousands of people unable to play GTA Online

Despite popular belief, Linux is not a small user base. In fact, there are approximately 800,000 active Linux gamers on Steam according to a 2021 survey. The new Anti-Cheat cut off a massive amount of people who 

There is hope for Linux users though, there IS technically support for Steam Deck + Linux with the BattlEye software. All Rockstar would have to do is ask BattlEye to turn on support, and it would be like flipping a switch. GTA Online was once one of the most played game modes before the change of software.

It's time Rockstar Games revives Linux and Steam Deck compatibility for GTA Online. Please sign this petition to support our plea and help bring about this necessary change.
