The residents of Ward 3 in Paxton, IL, deserve transparent, accountable, and effective leadership that genuinely reflects and serves our community's best interests. In light of recent concerns and pending issues that have arisen, the residents of Ward 3 do not have confidence in Mr. Pacey.

Former coach and suspended teacher Robert Pacey remains on administrative leave following a series of complaints to the school board regarding inappropriate touching. As of the time of this writing, the PBL school board has not made a determination on these allegations, nearly four months after the allegations were reported to the public eye. Five complainants have filed civil suits against Mr. Pacey for behavior stretching over 15 years, which are pending.

As Alderman, Mr. Pacey leads the Public Safety Committee. Mr. Pacey is an elected officer and cannot be fired unless he is found guilty of a crime. Mr. Pacey's ongoing legal issues and lack of trust from the community have reached a tipping point where change is necessary. We are therefore calling on Robert Pacey to step down as Ward 3 Alderman. Mr. Pacey needs to know that we do not trust him.
