The Issue
My name is Alex, and I'm a 24-year-old poverty class citizen living in the State of Rhode Island. Watching the elite class perpetuate our downfall is enraging & exhausting, and now is the time to do something about it.
On President Trump's first day in office, he signed 40 executive orders that pardoned 1,500 rioters from the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, ended all Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs within the federal government, withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Agreement, denied immigrants birthright citizenship, restored the death penalty, closed our borders to migrants fleeing extreme violence, censored free speech in media, and so much more.

Let's be clear: President Trump has promised to be a dictator "on day one," and he's delivering on that promise. He's sending a message to the entire nation that he intends to attack marginalized communities through executive orders, legislation, and pardoning violent criminals who brutally beat police officers at the Capitol Building intending to overturn the results of the 2020 election. This is a national emergency, and more radical measures need to be considered with our democracy at stake.
Democratic New York State Senator Liz Krueger floated the idea that New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont secede from the United States and join Canada, to avoid Trump's fascist agenda. Urge the Rhode Island General Assembly and Governor Daniel McKee to join our neighbor states in seceding from the United States.
