Marshall Pet Products, a name familiar to many pet owners, is sold by renowned retailers such as Chewy, Petco, and PetSmart. What many people don’t know, however, is that these products are a part of Marshall BioResources—a breeding facility based in Rose, NY.

At Marshall BioResources, over 66,000 animals are bred for the purpose of animal testing, including a shocking 22,000 beagles. These animals live in dire conditions, devoid of natural sunlight or any outdoor access, destined to end their lives in laboratories undergoing painful experiments. The inhumane treatment these animals endure should not be sustained by any system that profits from pet care, let alone beloved and trusted pet supply chains.

This issue is incredibly personal to me, as an animal lover and someone who believes in the ethical treatment of all living creatures. It pains me to witness the exploitation and suffering of innocent animals for the sake of commercial gain. Hence, urging consumers to ban these products and the stores that sell them in order to drive a significant change.
