My name is, ordinary American citizen, whose life has been deeply affected by the unfair practices of the health insurance industry. I firmly believe that Luigis case reflects unfair practices that must be addressed at the highest level of our system. Luigi Mangione, a person known to many, has been charged with crimes that seem tied to a broader issue: the unjust targeting of individuals due to misleading health insurance practices. Health insurance should be an avenue of support, not a tool to make its leaders and shareholders rich, at the expense of its clients health. 

In the United States, more than 137 million people are struggling with medical debt, according to CNBC. Luigi Mangione could be another statistic in this grim reality, charged for alleged crimes possibly linked to unfair health insurance practices.

This is more than just a story of one individual. It is about the infringement on our rights, the struggle of the American people against unfair health insurance practices. We must battle this injustice and bring light to cases like that of Luigi Mangione, as it symbolizes a much larger, systemic problem.

We implore President Biden, to not just see Luigi Mangione as an isolated case but as a reflection of many lives damaged due to unsound health insurance practices.
