I am deeply disturbed by the current state of affairs in our country, where speaking the truth often results in being silenced. It seems that the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, remains indifferent to the grave injustices happening under his watch. Is he not aware of the numerous journalists who have lost their lives trying to uncover the truth? Does he not understand the severity of the crisis when students feel so hopeless that they are driven to take their own lives?

This is a deeply personal plea because it affects each and every one of us. The media, which should be a voice for the people, has been compromised, and instead of highlighting the harsh realities, it has been reduced to a platform for glorifying the Prime Minister and portraying an illusion of a thriving nation. But beneath this facade lies the horrific truth of infant girls being raped, mature women living in fear, and growing cases of social injustice, all of which are being ignored by those in power.

Prime Minister Modi has not only failed to publicly acknowledge these issues but has also refrained from holding his own political party accountable for their mistakes. This silence screams complicity and is a betrayal to the people of this country.

Instead of addressing these pressing issues, the government seems more interested in diplomatic facades, exemplified by trivial gestures like offering toffees to foreign leaders, such as Giorgia Meloni. Real leadership demands courage to face uncomfortable truths and a commitment to justice for all.

It is high time that the Prime Minister breaks his silence and uses his influential position to initiate meaningful dialogue and reform. He must stand up against the violators of human rights within his party and prove his commitment to justice and equity for every Indian citizen.
