As a parent of two wonderful children with additional needs, I've seen firsthand the devastating impact that inadequate funding can have on their education and future. According to a recent study by the National Association of Head Teachers, over 70% of school leaders reported insufficient funding to adequately support children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). The consequence of this shortfall in funding is profound. It means fewer specialist teachers, reduced access to essential teaching aids, and inadequate support for these children to reach their full potential.
