Last night, the OCDSB trustees voted on the Elementary Program Review recommendation. It was a partial victory: Specialized Program Classes (SPCs) were spared.

Unfortunately, the board voted to phase out the Alternative program and proceed with boundary changes that include insufficient grandparenting provisions. While disappointing, this isn't yet final - the decisive vote will take place on May 13th.

We still have time to make a difference:

• Join us in protest on Saturday, May 10th at Elgin and Lisgar from 2:00-3:00 PM
• Share the petition with your networks to amplify our message
• Contact trustees before the May 13th meeting

Our goal remains clear: save Alternative schools and ensure OCDSB meaningfully considers parent and community feedback on such significant accommodations changes.
