Since I was a child, the engaging world of Nintendo has captured my heart. Their games have been a constant in my life, bringing joy and excitement that has extended into my adulthood. However, it is disheartening that to keep up-to-date with official Nintendo news, I need to use a platform - X - that promotes extreme rhetoric, hate speech, and has been reported to interfere with foreign elections.

X has been implicated in the spread of misinformation, which has a significant impact on our society and democracy. This isn't consistent with the loved gaming entity that I grew up with, which Nintendo represents for many across the globe. The use of such a platform damages Nintendo's image and disconnects the company from its cherished fans. 

It is essential for Nintendo to engage with its supporters across platforms that uphold healthy social interactions and discourage hate speech. Bluesky or Mastodon are such options, as they engage in efforts to foster a safer digital space, focussed more on actual interaction than viral sharing.

We are therefore urging Nintendo to either switch from X entirely to Bluesky or Mastodon or at the very least, start posting its official news on both X and these alternative platforms. Let's enable fans to get their Nintendo fix without having to turn to a problematic medium.
