As a devoted fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, I have witnessed how the current pattern of batch releases can diminish the communal excitement and anticipation for the series. This sentiment is shared by many within our fandom, with many of us longing for the revival of the time when every Friday became an event, everyone in the fandom eagerly anticipating the upcoming episode. 

Netflix's habit of releasing anime in batches rather than weekly episodes decreases fans' overall enjoyment of the series. A study in Journal of Consumer Research found that anticipation for an event can often increase enjoyment of the event itself (Journal of Consumer Research, Vol. 39, No. 2 - August 2012). Releasing new episodes on a weekly basis will foster engagement and continue the tradition we hold dear.

Moreover, a shift to weekly releases isn't unprecedented. In fact, series like The Mandalorian and WandaVision have shown significant success with this model on Disney+ (Variety, 2021). By reverting to a weekly release model for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Netflix can uphold the fan tradition of "JoJo Fridays," keeping alive the fervour of an entire fandom.
