Update: We've Reached the Senate Committee Chair

I wanted to share an exciting update with everyone who has signed and supported this petition.
Today, I sent a formal email to Senator Jason Bean, Chairman of the Missouri Senate Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee. Because this committee reviews animal-related legislation, I asked him to review my proposed Animal Protection in Vehicles Act, consider sponsoring or supporting the bill, and provide guidance on what steps are needed to help move it through the legislative process.
This is another important step toward making it illegal to leave pets unattended in dangerous vehicles in Missouri.
I've also submitted my proposed legislation to other Missouri lawmakers in hopes of securing a legislative sponsor. While there is still a long road ahead, every conversation and every signature helps demonstrate that Missourians want stronger protections for animals.
If you haven't already, please share this petition with your family, friends, coworkers, and fellow animal lovers. The more signatures we collect, the stronger our voice becomes when speaking with lawmakers.
Thank you for believing in this mission and standing with me. Together, we're working to create lasting change that could save countless animals from completely preventable suffering.
I'll continue posting updates as I hear back from legislators and as this effort moves forward.
