My love for Halo started during my childhood. As a long-time fan, I'm devastated by the decline of this iconic franchise that started with Halo 4's release, under 343 Industries' control. I, along with many other fans, have seen a significant deterioration in the quality of the games since Bungie, the original creators, parted ways with the franchise. It's apparent Microsoft isn't considering fans' valuable input, pushing the franchise to the brink of self-destruction.

The Halo franchise has not only lost its charisma under Microsoft but has also underperformed financially. Since 343 Industries assumed control, the franchise's sales have markedly decreased. Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians couldn't match the sales numbers of any of Bungie's Halo games, according to data from VGChartz. This is a clear byproduct of subpar storytelling, gameplay mechanics and overall game quality that fans worldwide have expressed dissatisfaction with.

We believe that the best recourse for reviving this cherished franchise is to sell the intellectual property rights to another entity that can restore it to its former glory. Microsoft, we implore you to consider the voices of your consumers and old-time fans who are emotionally and nostalgically attached to the Halo franchise. It's time to let someone else carry the torch and enable Halo to attain the heights it's truly capable of.
