A similar incident occurred in Mt. Zion, IL, where a special day was declared in memory of a boy who suffered a comparable fate. In that case, the community's unified support raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the young boy and his injured friend.

Unfortunately, we are not witnessing a similar level of support for Noah. The lack of action is not only alarming but profoundly disheartening. Our community should not discriminate in showing empathy and upholding justice. It is time to address this disparity with decisive action. We call on Mayor Julie Wolfe to declare a special day in honor of Noah Edwards.
