Diogo Jota has been nothing but a phenomenal player ever since he joined Liverpool Football Club back in 2020. He was a very versatile player and always played for the club, never complaining about his game time. He was also a fan favorite at the club, he gave everything for the badge, for the club and for the jersey. He has been such a loyal servant to the club in his time with the club. 

Many Liverpool fans, including myself were heartbroken as news hit that  
after a road exit accident that triggered a fire, Diogo and his brother André had passed away.

The entire fooballing world and those in knowledge of this will mourn the death from their own places.

Now, in his unfortunate death, the responsibility falls down to us, the community, that we make sure his legacy is remembered and forever cherished within the club and it would be in fitting manner if we retire his number 20 shirt.
