As someone deeply concerned about the cause of animal rights and welfare, I wish to highlight the predicament of Max, a 5-month old puppy currently under the council's custody. This predicament is more than just a case of legal procedures. It's a pivotal moment to demonstrate compassion and equity towards our fellow beings who can't speak for themselves. Max, is innocent and healthy, and the thought of him put down unjustly is heartbreaking. 

This case is symptomatic of a legal framework that needs reassessed.

We are calling on the conscience of Lisburn and Castlereagh Council members. We urge you to look into Max's case with understanding, applying common sense to a situation that requires compassion over bureaucracy. Please release Max and let him continue his life uninterrupted, as any healthy and innocent being should. Let his case testify to the change we want to see for all innocent animal lives.
