The Issue

As a passionate Lego collector with a €150,000 collection, I am deeply disturbed by recent events involving an American company, Bricks and Minifigs (BAM). BAM has allegedly stolen a Lego collection and uses the Lego logo extensively in their stores without appropriate authorization. The silence from the Lego Group on this matter is worrying and feels like a betrayal to loyal customers like myself.

The Lego brand stands for creativity, trustworthiness, and an uncompromising standard of quality. By not actively distancing themselves from BAM's actions and misuse of their brand, Lego risks tarnishing its hard-earned reputation. This absence of accountability could create confusion among collectors and consumers who trust that the Lego logo represents well-vetted and authentic products.

We are requesting that Lego take a definitive stand against this type of exploitation. Specifically, we urge Lego to publicly distance themselves from BAM and investigate the unauthorized use of their brand. In addition, it would be favorable for Lego to assist the rightful owner of the stolen collection in reclaiming their property and pursue legal action against illicit use. Furthermore, we call on Lego to prevent BAM from using the Lego logo unless they adhere to strict licensing agreements.

By doing so, Lego can reaffirm its commitment to its customers, ensuring the integrity and value of our collections is upheld. Such measures will not only protect current and future Lego enthusiasts, but also fortify the trust that has been placed in this beloved Lego brand for generations.

We implore Lego to act decisively and protect the community it has nurtured over the decades. Please sign this petition to urge Lego to take immediate and concrete actions against unauthorized uses of their products and brand identity.
