The Legacy Boxing Gym in Sunshine West that was operating as a neo-Nazi training facility has closed!
The site owner has refused to renew the lease for the undesirable tenants and has also committed to be more selective with prospective tenants.
This incredible result follows a year-long community-led campaign to help make Brimbank a safer place.
Thank you to all the residents, businesses and community members who rallied for change through local protests, poster and sticker displays, writing to council, speaking with media, and collectively raising your voices loudly against hate.
So, what’s next?
The neo-Nazi presence that aided notorious transphobe Kellie-Jay Keen, aka Rosie Parker, has affected members of the Sunshine West and neighbouring LGBTIQA+ community.
It’s time for Brimbank City Council to establish an LGBTIQA+ Advisory Group to help make Brimbank a safe and welcoming community.

Oh, and when we find where the neo-Nazis have moved to, we’ll work to have that location closed, too – just like their bunkers in Cheltenham, Ashfield, and Rowville.
Neo-Nazis have no place among us, and we will continue to stand together against hatred and intolerance in all its forms.
