Every day, children in our community are put at risk due to the alarming rate of accidents and speeding incidents on Croxted Road. As a concerned resident of Lambeth, London, I have witnessed firsthand the danger that this presents to our most vulnerable members - our children.

Croxted Road has become a hotbed for traffic-related incidents due to excessive speeding. This not only disrupts the peace in our neighborhood but also poses a significant threat to pedestrian safety. The Department for Transport reported that in 2019 alone, there were 153,315 casualties of all severities in reported road traffic accidents across Great Britain (source: Department for Transport). A significant portion of these accidents can be attributed directly or indirectly to speeding.

We urge the Lambeth Police and local authorities to take immediate action by implementing speed limits and enhancing road safety measures along Croxted Road. This should include a speed camera and installing more visible signage indicating speed limits or deploying additional police patrols during peak hours.
