For far too long, I, along with countless others in our community, have watched as numerous families and retired individuals are relentlessly forced into poverty. The current government, once our hope and faith for a better future, seems to be dramatically failing in its duties to act in the public interest. Our concerns, cries, and pleas remain ignored while the policies and practices in place continue to disproportionately affect the most vulnerable in our society.

So we call upon the King Charles to dissolve the current government and assume leadership of our country with a commitment to protect its citizens from the bane of poverty and the disregard of our basic needs. According to the data from the Office for National Statistics, the number of pensioners living in poverty has surged by 300,000 in four years and currently, almost 2 million pensioners are now living below the poverty line (Source: Office for National Statistics). This ever-increasing impoverishment vividly indicates our government’s inability or unwillingness to shield our society from the economic hardships that are taking a toll on us.

At this crucial point in our nation’s history, a strong and sensitive leadership is an urgency, not an option. King Charles possesses the stature and capability that is much needed during these challenging times.
