Urge Kaiser Permanente to Adopt Eco-Friendly Tully Tubes for Prescription Medications

Urge Kaiser Permanente to Adopt Eco-Friendly Tully Tubes for Prescription Medications
The Issue
As a member of Kaiser Permanente, and a regular consumer of prescribed medicine, I am faced with a steady stream of plastic prescription bottles each month. With a personal usage rate of over 15 bottles a year and my elderly parents using even more, the pile of non-reusable medication containers keeps growing.
By switching to Tully Tubes - prescription packaging made from paper and post-consumer recycled plastic - Kaiser Permanente has the opportunity to drastically reduce their plastic waste. This would not only have a significant positive impact on reducing landfill waste but also set a commendable precedent in the healthcare industry.
According to the CDC, more than half of the American adult population takes a prescription drug. If we calculate even a modest estimation of each person consuming just one medicine bottle per month, we are looking at billions of waste-contributing, plastic medication bottles annually.
I believed Kaiser Permanente, as a respected and leading healthcare provider, understands the urgent need for sustainable practices. Let's encourage them to lead the way in transitioning towards environmentally friendly prescription packaging. I respectfully request Kaiser Permanente to replace their plastic prescription bottles with Tully Tubes. Please sign this petition to help bring about this much-needed change.
