Hornsby Heights Football Club are moving away from pre-formed teams to create teams primarily based on grading and ability.

While player development and providing children with appropriate levels of competition are important considerations. I am concerned that placing too much emphasis on grading, ability and winning risks losing sight of what community sport is fundamentally about — developing children who enjoy playing the game, feel comfortable within their team, build friendships and develop a lifelong love of sport.
