I, like many others around the world, have been using Google Photos as a reliable platform to store and cherish our memories. It has always been a comfort knowing that our photos and videos are safely stored without worrying about storage limits. However, this changed when Google decided to end its free unlimited storage service in June 2021.

This decision has impacted millions of users worldwide who now have to pay for additional storage beyond the initial 15GB limit. According to Statista, as of October 2020, there were approximately 1 billion active users on Google Photos (source: Statista).
