More ways you can help get a Google Doodle for Cloud!

Growing up, I was always captivated by the majestic wild horses that roamed free and untamed, but one in particular has always held a special place in my heart – Cloud. His spirit, strength, and resilience have been an inspiration to me and have motivated me to advocate for wild equines, even venturing into rescuing them.

Because of Cloud, one of our nation's leading wild equine advocacy groups was founded.  The Cloud Foundation has been dedicated to saving wild horses and burros since 2005 and has made a huge impact on their lives. 

Although Cloud passed away several years ago, his memory lives on and we're celebrating his 30th birthday this year on May 29th! Google, with its global reach and influence, has a long history of creating doodles to acknowledge notable individuals, events, and causes. We know that this would be an incredible opportunity to raise greater awareness for wild equines.

Bearing in mind how Google Doodles have previously been used to champion wildlife (including the doodle for Steve Irwin and the Komodo Dragon doodle), we see the perfect opportunity for Google to commemorate Cloud's 30th birthday with a doodle that would go a long way in advocating for wild equines. Let Google tell the tale of Cloud and bring wider attention to the plight of his kind facing extinction. In North America, it is estimated that fewer than 48,000 wild horses remain and Cloud can be a figurehead to protect these remaining resilient creatures.
