Stories of suffering echo across Palestine especially in Northern Gaza, resonating deeply within me. Families cry out in desperation, photographs of despair flood my inbox, begging for help. Local efforts to bring aid fall heartbreakingly short; resources are scarce, and skyrocketing prices make basic necessities a luxurious dream. The arrival of winter amplifies their plight; children are shivering, families, the elderly, and the injured are starving. Essential supplies—shelter, medical supplies and treatment are inaccessible, and the conditions are dire. 

This is the inhumane reality of the conflict in Palestine, where the very notion of peace feels unattainable. This is why I believe that we, as global citizens, should pressure our governments to temporarily close Israeli Embassies and Consulates until a permanent ceasefire is established and confirmed in Palestine. These diplomatic institutions should not enjoy the privileges of their positions while there is an ongoing conflict that, according to United Nations reports, has resulted in alarming rates of casualties and displacement of Palestinians.

These concession measures are not intended to alienate, but to demonstrate our collective refusal to give tacit approval for the conditions that Palestinian families endure daily. While we acknowledge that this action does limit support to Israeli citizens abroad, it affirms our stance against any government engaged in acts that violate international law. We also insist that aid must be allowed to enter Palestine through the north and the south, so the vulnerable population can receive the food, medical assistance, and basic necessities they desperately need.

Let us show our governments and the world that we stand on the side of justice, asking for diplomatic action until a lasting ceasefire can cement peace across Palestine. Across Lebanon and the surrounding Nations also being threatened and attacked.
