As a father of two adventurous boys, aged 10 and 12, I've witnessed firsthand the joy and excitement that comes from watching them ride their Emoto dirt bikes. What parent wouldn't be delighted to see their children engage in a healthy, outdoor activity that not only builds their skills but also strengthens family bonds? Unfortunately, in Georgetown, safe, legal spaces for dirt biking are scarce—leaving our children to ride in less secure areas or not at all.

Georgetown is a growing community that prides itself on inclusivity and outdoor recreation. In recent years, the popularity of Emoto and dirt biking has skyrocketed. It's not just a sport; it's a lifestyle that promotes discipline, physical fitness, and camaraderie among riders of all ages. With more families seeking out this engaging activity, our city must adapt to accommodate this interest.

Currently, the lack of designated areas for dirt biking poses significant concerns. Riders often share trails with pedestrian traffic, leading to potential conflicts and accidents. Without appropriate spaces, there's increased risk of noise complaints, environmental damage, and legal issues.
